Sunday: Lounging Around and Chinese Spinning

-We were planning on going to a market today, but we woke up super tired and had a huge pile of homework to do, so decided against it. Instead we wrote a list of everything we wanted to do while in Beijing (I'll add a photo in a bit). We then added these activities to a calendar that CIEE had given us, so that we actually go and do them!

-The rest of the day was spent doing homework, visiting WuMei (the local supermarket on campus), and lounging around.

-At 5:00pm Rachel, Katie and I headed to the gym for the first time. We did some warm up running and stretching, and then did a spinning class. The spinning class was just crazy. They turned all the lights off and closed the curtains. All these strobe lights and colourful lasers were flashing all over. Plus they had this pounding pump-up music on. It felt like we were in a rave. You could barely hear the instructor it was so loud. It honestly wouldn't have made a difference though; all the instructions were in Chinese. I had no clue what the guy was saying. Pretty much had to guess and copy everyone else. The instructor kept walking around and turning our bikes onto super hard. Yay. It was quite the workout.
